Shoot Coordinator

We’re hiring an amazing Shoot Coordinator to play an integral role in launching shoot production at Thread

At Thread, we’re helping people to feel happier and more self-confident by making it easy to dress well. We do this using a combination of human stylists and powerful machine learning algorithms to recommend each guy the perfect things just for them—in their size, budget, and style—which they can then buy in one place. Most guys want to look good but don't particularly enjoy shopping, so we believe if we get this right we can create the new default for how hundreds of millions of people across the world buy their clothes.

We are looking for an experienced Shoot Coordinator to join our Styling team. The Shoot Coordinator will work closely with the Styling Manager in the production and coordination of editorial, ecommerce and ad campaign shoots, collaborate with the Stylists, and help us to level-up our in-house shooting at Thread. This role requires focus, energy and initiative, and is perfect for someone who likes to be constantly challenged. We’re looking for a highly organised self-starter, who has the drive to build production workflows and improve shoot efficiency, approached with confidence and a can-do attitude.

Some of the things you'll do:

  • Work with the Styling Manager to establish clear shoot timelines
  • Organise studio availability and bookings
  • Arrange castings and bookings
  • Arrange accommodation and travel
  • Collate shoot trackers and manage the flow of samples
  • Work with the Stylists on product pulls
  • Support the Styling Manager in producing shoots for ecom, editorial, and ad campaigns
  • Work with the Styling Manager to iterate on shoot processes and improve the quality of assets
  • Organise temps to support with returns and oversee the return process
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with all external suppliers - PRs, photographers and agencies

What you’ll need to fit this role:

  • At least one year’s experience as a Shoot Coordinator or Production Assistant, ideally within the fashion industry
  • Impeccable time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • A positive attitude when approaching all tasks; you pride yourself on how well you manage large projects
  • Confident to develop your own production workflows
  • Complete fluency with basic computer software such as Google sheets
  • A keen eye for detail, and perfectionism in all areas of work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to take on the varied challenges and demands of a startup environment

This is a full-time and permanent position, based in our London office.
