Contrary to the name, this shirt wasn’t solely made for granddads; in fact the style has a rich history with the traditional gentleman donning the shirt back in 1827. Its origins relay back to when Hannah Lord Montague, wife of a businessman in New York, sheared off the collar of her husband’s shirt so she could wash it more easily. With this neckline, the collars could be interchanged with the grandad shirt being the base of ease and versatility. Leaving a lasting legacy, the Heton grandad shirt is a fresh update (ironically). In the shape of a classic Oxford shirt, minus the collar, it’s brushed for a soft handfeel and finished with a box pleat and contrasting Mr Wills embroidery at the chest. This particular shirt is an easy to wear white, but it also comes in simple stripes.
