Made in collaboration with British shoemakers George Cox, our leather creeper references the footwear styles of British subculture, as well as our own archive tennis shoe.
Smooth, shiny leather / Matt metal eyelets / Chunky rubber sole / Side stitch detail / Branded pull tab
George Cox footwear has been around since 1906, starting life as a small family-run business in Northampton. 100 years on and their name is synonymous with quality craftsmanship, and British subcultural movements. Today we’ve been working on a series of collaborative pieces, taking influence from the shoesmakers’ archive, as well as our own. The boot-style shape, heel tab and side stitching are borrowed from the monkey boot, with the chunky rubber sole taken from the ‘brothel creeper’: the shoesmakers’ signature style. The sports-style profile and leather construction reference our archive tennis shoe.
